Getting around your space
The workspace connects customer context, audiences, messages, journeys and results. This lesson shows where each part lives and how to move between businesses or brands without mixing their records.
What a space is
Everything you do in maxclicks happens inside a space, your business's home in the app. A space holds your contacts, schemas, segments, templates, broadcasts, workflows, forms, domains, senders, members, and billing. Data is isolated: nothing crosses from one space to another.
Your account can belong to more than one space, one per business or brand. You move between them from the space menu (see Switching spaces below).
When you switch spaces, the entire app re-points at that space's data, members, and billing. See Your workspace for the full model.
The app shell
Every page in your space sits under a URL like /space/your-slug/.... The app has a top bar for navigation and two panes below it:
- The maxinja assistant pane on the left, resizable, which can take over the full view. This is where you talk to maxinja.
- The main content on the right, where you view and act on your data.
The top bar holds the navigation, the notification center, and the space and account menu. You reach every area from the top bar; clicking an item swaps the main content.
The main areas
| Area | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Records | One table per contact or object schema. Search, create, import, and manage your contacts here. |
| Segments | Filter your audience into named groups. See segments. |
| Brand Kits | Your brand's colors, fonts, and assets, used when personalizing email. See brand kits. |
| Workflows | Automate a process as a graph of triggers, conditions, and actions. See workflows. |
| Templates | Reusable email, sent one recipient at a time, usually from your own code. See templates. |
| Broadcasts | One email to a whole audience, now or on a schedule. See broadcasts. |
| Forms | Build and publish forms to collect contacts. |
| Metrics | Space-level email performance. |
| Settings | Everything you set up once: domains, senders, schemas, members, billing (below). |
You do not need to learn all of these now. The point is that the top bar is the index: whatever you want is one click away.
Switching spaces and settings
The space and account menu in the top bar is where you leave the current space and manage it:
- Switch spaces: jump between the spaces your account belongs to.
- Settings: General, Brand, Members, Domains, Sender Profiles, maxinja, Schemas, Events, Topics, Plans, Billing, Developers, and Forms Protection.
What you can reach depends on your role. Only admins manage members, billing, and space-wide settings.
